Domestic Diva in Training

I’ve waited roughly 39 weeks for this day to come and it will be here tomorrow! The best thing about having a c-section is knowing that unless something goes wrong, there’s an accident so all the operating rooms are full or I am dumb and eat or drink something, I will be holding my baby girl this time tomorrow! I will be done being pregnant and my tubes will be tied! No more babies in this basket! I have been up since 6am so I started cleaning to make the day go by faster. Here it is noon and my dishes are done, laundry is almost done and even put away, LP’s carseat is clean and put back in the truck, my bag is packed and LP is down for a nap! Even Baby Girl seems to be resting! Tomorrow she will welcome our family and complete us!

Only 5 days left until my baby girl is born! I can’t wait! I feel like the next few days are gonna drag but I know in reality they will fly by! I’m ready to have my body back and ready to get into a routine with the new one and the other kids! I just hope the 2 year old doesn’t take it too hard that she has to share our time and attention with her new sister!

This morning I crept to McDonalds and got Little Man pancakes, since he loves their pancakes for some reason, then came home and got him in the bath. When he was getting dressed he realized it was past the time to go to the bus and he started to panic a little about being late for school. Then I told him the news! I told him we had planned on taking him to see the new Ironman movie but because we didn’t have a lot of money we were gonna stay home from school and watch Ironman and Ironman 2 instead and possibly go see his grandma after. He loved it! Little does he know after 1 and 2 we are going to see his grandma so we can drop off Little Princess so we can take him to see 3 in the theatre! Just daddy, him and me! With LP taking up so much of my time and energy and with Baby Girl coming soon sucking up more of our time and energy we thought it would be nice to have a day just with LM! After the movie we are taking him to get a haircut with Daddy, which he loves! I still can’t believe it’s been 7 years since he came into my life! My Little Man is growing up way too fast!

Kids woke up coughing and sounding terrible! Little Man has had a fever on and off all day and Little Princess has just been coughing and being a poop all day! LM missed his little friends birthday party because he is sick and it broke the poor kids heart. I missed my aunts birthday party and church because I’m at home taking care of the kiddos! I hate it when my kids are sick! There’s not much you can do for them except pump them full of fluids and try and keep them from running around! LM keeps saying he feels better then his fever will go back up and he’s back to being a bump on the couch. Hopefully the kids feel better soon cause this preggo mama is tired!

I can’t wait to wear real clothes again! It has been to chilly here to wear dresses, and I don’t have many that fit me anyway, and all my real pants don’t fit so I’ve been living in pajama pants and sweats! When I go out in public I will squeeze myself into my maternity jeans but when you can’t walk for more then 10 minutes without your hips burning or your sciatic nerve freaking out you tend to just stay home anyway! Only 24 more days until I won’t be pregnant anymore and I can’t wait!! To walk without feeling like I’m going to snap in half or have my legs fall off will be great! Putting on a pair of jeans without an elastic waistband will be amazing! Getting to finally hold this little girl who ha been kicking the crap out of me for the last 20 weeks will be breathtaking! Come on May 10th I’m ready for you!

My mom took me to buy LB her carseat today and my super cute mom spent way more then I had expected her to. Being that this is our last child I didn’t see the point in spending a large amount on new things since a) they are just going to be messed up and b) the big ticket items you can’t take to consignment shops like cribs and carseats. I love the seat she got! I forgot though how much it would take out of me physically to go shopping! My trips lately have been to grab a few groceries then home but today we went to three stores and walked around a lot! On the way home I was exhausted and sore and LP fell asleep in the car so there was no chance for me to take a nap when we finally arrived home. Now I’m trying to get LP to sleep so I can go to sleep as well! I’m soooo ready for May to be here so LB can be born and I can stop hurting so much all the time!
